About Us

Competere is a trade law and economic policy consultancy.  We advise clients in the areas of international trade law, competition and regulatory law and policy, as well as on international trade and domestic regulatory economic policy.  We work with governments and companies on these issues.  Our CEO, Shanker Singham has nearly three decades of experience in these areas, and has regularly interacted with government ministers, heads of state, senior officials and CEOs. We can help eliminate trade and regulatory barriers that impact business operations.

We also have a line of business advising on Special Economic Zones and Free Zones/Industrial Zones and have developed a productivity simulator that measures the impact of regulatory improvements in Zones and countries (based on the Singham-Rangan-Bradley model). Our CEO, Shanker Singham also chairs Global Economic Neural Networks (GENN) (@GEconomies), a project that seeks to understand, enhance and develop advanced special zones, global cities and global nodes and networks of the future.
